Scratching the dirty surface of the fake earth, Kensei tried to stand up, but his muscles were too exhausted to move anymore. He could see that the wall in front of him and Taishi's figure was slowly fading away. He must be dying from blood loss.

Unable to see anything in reality, his mind raced back through his own history. His life as a human...his time as an Academy student...his transformation...his reign in Las Noches...his subordinates...no, his companions back at the warehouse...

Kensei stood up suddenly with all his strength. He drew his Ginhou (with his Hollow mask removed, he no longer had the strength to maintain his Bankai) and pointed it at the figure in front of him.

A large gate erupted behind him. Kensei did not move, because he already guessed it was here to carry him away. The skull-like seals slowly opened one after the other. With a slow creak carried with the sighs and cries of a thousand souls in torment, the gates of Hell opened.

Kensei lowered his sword. "Guess this is..." Suddenly, a large spear suddenly pierced his heart. Coughing up blood, Kensei barely had time to collect his wits before the spear pulled him to his eternal resting place.

With its target safely within its iron gates, the doors of Hell again slowly creaked together, and the gates snapped shut with another deep sigh from the restless spirits inside. The entire gate disappeared completely, leaving nothing but a lone, blood-splattered sword thrust into the ground.

Far away, in the real world, a white bird flew in the blood-red sky.

From the Imperial Palace of Britannia, a few elite Vincents as well as the imperial vehicle left the city of Pendragon. A military vehicle slightly altered to be less intimidating, the makeshift automobile would do for this trip. Inside was a fully operational base of commands, with maps of Britannia and Japan flitting across the many screens, and pinpoint locations of the terrorist attacks that seemed to be happening so frequently. Situated away from the four or five assistants and officers below, was seated Denes van Britannia, the current Emperor in all his glory. Playing with a doll, he seemed to be out of touch with most "worldly affairs", but he was laying out a plan of action for the recent happenings. If I should go to Japan without resolving the conflicts happening around here, then the Britannian mainland would stray from my control. Glancing up, he looked at the men in front of him. "Oi. How is the negotiations with the EU going?"

"They say that they cannot accept the coup d'etat as a legitimate emperor, and they are prepared to go to war against Britannia, your Majesty."

Pausing for a second, Denes thought again of the connection between the recent "Sons of Liberty" and the EU. If I manage to leave the Sons stranded, then they would be forced to look abroad, as well as the resilient Natives here and the so-called 'Order of the Black Knights'...I'll have them cornered. "Start initiating blanket searches for terrorists, including tapping into phone conversations...under utmost secrecy, of course...and arrange a talk with the so-called 'Queen Elizabeth the Third'. I believe that there is no one that can live more than 900 years." Except me, of course.

"Yes, your Majesty."

Opening a case of sweets, he picked up a small command unit the shape of a white chess king. "Huh? What does this do?" Setting it down beside him, he decided to address the people. By tapping a few keys, he managed to hack himself into the BBC mainline, and decided to take over the sitcom over the latest 'terrorist attacks'.

*cough cough* *a tuning sound* "We are sorry to distrupt this broadcast for this important message by the seventeenth Emperor of the Holy Empire of Britannia, Dionysus van Britannia. All Britannians, please salute the flag!" With that the grey screen turned to the Holy Britannian flag, resplendant with the blue and red markings and the eagle in the middle. Having an aura of imperial power, the flag seemed to compel the people outside to loyalty, and they broke out in song in accordance to the musical accompaniment.

"Truth and hope in our Fatherland, and death to every foe!..."

And death to the terrorists that have plagued this land.

"...our past inspires noble deeds, All Hail Britannia!"

I will bring the dream of Pax Britannia to a reality...

"...Never will he be overthrown, like mountains and sea; his bloodline immortal and pure, All Hail Britannia!"

As the song came to a close, the flag parted into half, showing the shape of the Emperor in all his imperial glory. Seemingly a different man from the kid three seconds ago, the man looked into the eyes of the crowd with his deep, purple eyes and smiled. His long hair was set haphazardly, and the doll set on his shoulder. He had the crown, as well as white, gilden robes that cascaded over the throne and to the steps with a covering red carpet. Flexing his white fingers, his eyes seemed to pierce into people's souls, as if they were all-knowing, wells of knowledge and wisdom acquired with old age that contrasted greatly with the young physique of the Emperor. Over the speakers the track, "The Master" started to play.

"All hail Britannia! All hail Dionysus!" The call echoed, even on the streets as the civilians raised their hands to honor their emperor. The parade traveled through the streets of Area 2, making its way to the Docks, but stopped in the middle, the pilots of the Vincents saluting their emperor as well. "All hail Dionysus!" I will tear down this world, then rebuild it as I wish. Everyone will bow down to my power, as your master and liege lord commands you. But for that, I will need to establish the 'Pax Britannia'... He paused slightly before starting to speak.

"To all my imperial subjects. This, of course, includes the noble 'Numbers' that have chosen to serve Britannia...my heart is weeping. I am deeply sorry for the great men and women who have died for their country at the hands of terrorists and deception.

To the terrorists and 'Numbers' that have chosen to rebel against Britannia...I will not tolerate your rash actions. What are you trying to prove by killing innocent people? That you have the 'mettle' and 'courage' to stand up against Britannia?! Terrorism is for the cowardly, the week that seek recompense from the powerful, just for self-satisfaction. What can you do by exploding bombs? I, Dionysus van Britannia, who will work for the good of one and all, will not bow down to your violent antics!

You who have killed your own kind for self-satisfaction...I will not rest until you have repented for your deeds and have payed the price for wanton destruction. You who have lead others to wrongdoing -- liars like Zero and the John Bull -- I will cast to the deepest depths of the abyss. What wrong are the other 'Numbers' who are killed by your foolishness?

Today you have attacked Britannia yet again. How many times must you kill in order to be satisfied? Our Britannia will wage a holy, a virtuous war -- a crusade to liberate the shackled from the iron grip of liars and fiends -- look at the English Republican Army, the Roman Catholic Church, the European Union, the Chinese Federation, and most important of all, the so-called Black 'Knights'...they have decieved their own kind for their own wants and deeds! Their reign is nothing more than illegitimate shamble. We will release them from your grasp. My nephew, Clovis la Britannia, suffered a dirty death at the hands of the Black Knights.

I ask for a moment of silence for those who have died for the Britannian Army, the honorable people who have died because of terrorism, and for our friends and loved ones who have died because of deception, lies, violence, and wrong."

Pausing briefly, he saluted the nation as the nation saluted the flag. For a moment, he reached out his heart for the people he ruled over, the nephew he had hardly known, and the others who have suffered. Taking a deep breath, he continued speaking, putting down his hand.

"I will hand over the affairs of the state to my nephew, Schneizel el Britannia, and I will go personally to smite the wrongful forces of the Black Knights and their allies.

For the 'Numbers' and Britannians, I will tell you this: Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened for you. Fight for your fatherland, for your beliefs, your people and your loves -- fight for justice!"

He finished speaking, and waited while the Britannian Broadcasting Company resumed their normal broadcast about the recent terrorist attacks. The sky outside had turned gray, and drizzle covered Area 2.

Looking at the awestruck men inside the vehicle, he motioned to one. "Fetch me a personal line to the purported 'John Bull'. Send messages to the ERA, the Black Knights, and the EU -- that the Emperor would like to send his greetings to 'Queen Elizabeth III', 'Zero', and the premier...if not, then the sergeant major."

The personal screen flashed the Britannian flag, and started to beep while he waited for 'John Bull' to recieve the call. Thankfully he had been given the phone number through...some way or another, but the most important thing was that he had the number. The noble flag of Britannia would be all that the 'John Bull' saw. As for tracking down the call, Denes didn't bother; his vehicle was parading through the streets of Area 2 while he waited, anyways; If you want to attack me, I'd like to see you jolly well try.

He drummed his fingers, waiting for 'John Bull' to take up the call.

~Meeting with Raiga~
The cold night air enveloped in Sumi's body as he watched the lakes tides. The wind carried a sweet smell of salt that breezed threw the trees that were located on its edge. Sitting at the trunk of a brown Oak tree was Sumi, with his hands folded and his head down he appeared to be partially sleeping. Wearing his battle gear the rattles of his kunai dangling from his pouch seemed to constantly wake him up which annoyed him to a great extent. Lifting his head up and resting it against the tree which was directly behind him, he sighed heavily as spread his legs farther apart. Beside his left leg was a book which he had his drawing in, opened to a page where the image of a sunset was it was obvious that Sumi drew it before he went to sleep. Partially opening his eyes revealing his brown pupils, he blinked repeatedly to regain eye focus. "When is he coming?" Sumi said tiredly as he stood up. Grabbing the book and tucking it under his left arm he continued to watch the tides in the lake as they reflected the eternal starlight above them.

While being sucked in to the murky abyss a noise from the bushes startled him. Thinking that it was an intruder he summoned his chakra to his right hand, beginning to use the Chakra Scrapel for his defense, the voice which came from the bushes broke sounded familiar. "Hey Sumi, long time no see" Raiga said as he walked out of the bushes. Giggling to himself he canceled his Chakra Scapel and waved with his other hand in his direction. Raiga who was Sumi's friend walked up closer to Sumi and looked at the lake. "Did you hear the news?" Sumi asked catching Raiga's attention. Lifting his hands up and putting them on his head he looked intently in Sumi's eyes and a light sigh came from his mouth. "Yeah, Tiami escaped" he said as his blue eyes switched to the ground. Sumi putted his right hand on Raiga's shoulder and smiled, "they'll find him" Sumi said softly. The night air began to increase and the water from the lake had picked up with the wind. As the wind swirled threw the forests both Raiga and Sumi had to wipe their faces from the water.

Talking more about the good old days when they were younger the chirps of birds began to come from the tree. Raiga turned to their direction but Sumi ignored the chirps even though they echoed on the lakes shore. As Raiga made his way to the birds, Sumi was oblivious to the fact that he left. Sumi followed Raiga with slow steps as they both were led to a small next located at the bottom of a tree. Appearing to be fallen Raiga smiled and picked up the nest slowly Having three baby birds nested in it he turned to Sumi which was looking at him blankly. "Really though Raiga, birds?" Sumi said while giving a slight giggle. "Every living creature needs to be safe" Raiga said as he walked up the tree with his chakra. Sumi stood at the bottom and watched as Raiga put the nest back. "What a deep guy" Sumi thought as he made his way down.

Walking back to the village to get something to eat they were repeatedly stopped by merchants who wanted to sell everything in their stands. Yelling for Raiga and Sumi to come back , they chuckled as they ignored them completely and continued with their walk. While walking Sumi wiped his hair from his eyes yawned heavily which Raiga didn't ignore. "If your tired you can always go home" he said sharply while staring at Sumi. "Nope, I said we'll go to lunch, and thats what were gonna do" Sumi said with a smile. Returning the smile back Raiga pointed out the ramen stand which was located at the corner. Entering the store they both were immediately greeted by a chef which adored them both greatly.

"So how are my two favorite ninja in the Sand?" he asked as he prepared the ramen. Looking at each other humorously they turned back to the chef. "Alright I guess, had better nights" Sumi replied as they took a seat in front of the counter. The cold metal seat brought great discomfort to Sumi and he had to squirm to find a more comfortable spot. Taking both hands and folding them over the counter he looked back at Raiga. Appearing to be a stone statue with a smile on his face, Sumi noticed that a sense of doubt was in his eyes. Wondering why he was so worried about Tiami, Sumi decided to shrug off the idea for now and enjoy his meal.
